Dr. Hegazy

Dr. Hegazy earned a bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery in 2010 and a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree through the advanced standing DMD program at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 2019. He was an honor student in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. In dental school, Dr. Hegazy served as both Class President and Vice President of the Student Council.

Dr. Hegazy focuses on family dentistry, serving adult and pediatric patients. He has worked in hospitals and dental offices with a variety of patients with different needs and managing complex cases – something he quite enjoys. With an interest in extractions, root canal treatment, and dental implants, Dr. Hegazy has training in all types of dentistry so he can bring the best evidence-based techniques to your family’s dental care.

Dr. Mahdi

Dr. Mohamed Mahdi has been extensively trained in both general dentistry and orthodontics. Born in Alexandria, Egypt, Dr. Mahdi first received his dental degree from the Alexandria University College of Dentistry in 2007. He began his education in the United States in 2010, where he attended the New York University College of Dentistry. 

While attending NYU, Dr. Mahdi received his certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. During this time, he also earned a Master’s degree in Biomaterials and Biomedical Sciences, allowing him to further his expertise in dental and orthodontic materials. Dr. Mahdi went on to earn his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Boston University. He loves to learn, and enjoys furthering his knowledge through continuing education. 

Recently Dr. Mahdi relocated to the greater Chicago area with his wife Sarah and his daughter Maya. Sarah is native to the Naperville area. Dr. Mahdi strongly believes in family values and made the move to Illinois to be closer to family and friends. 

When not at Blooming Braces, Dr. Mahdi enjoys being active outdoors and playing tennis. Scuba diving is one of his favorite hobbies; in fact, he is a big fan of Shark Week. He also enjoys traveling with Sarah and Maya to experience different countries and cultures.
